This week, things are really picking up! The painting is coming to completion. The glass in the front foyer and all access doors should be placed and the ability to secure the premises is now top priority! The sound and lighting will begin this week with Sweet Southern Sound. Looking forward to each piece now being placed into the beautiful facility that will be a place of deliverance, restoration and hope for the souls of Southeast Texas! The picture is the inside of the sanctuary as the painting nears completion.
Work is progressing at 7880 Washington Blvd. The painting is almost complete and it is looking good! We are looking forward to the glass installation in the front foyer! We want to give honor and praise to the Lord for helping us to accomplish this awesome building project on His timetable! We are always disappointed with delays and Harvey certainly caused them but, thank the Lord, we have turned the corner and the pace is picking up! Stop by and see the new project and, as always, to God be the Glory!
Join us on Tuesday nights as we dig into “What the Bible Says” by Rev. Carlton L. Coon, Sr. We will learn together how to give this 7-week topical study and then encourage and support each other as we begin a study on our own! Prayer begins at 7, worship at 7:30 and study begins at 8. Children are encouraged to attend our children’s church as well. It is an exciting time of learning Biblical principles and applying them to their lives.
Just a quick word about our ladies’ luncheon this past Saturday. We know that many of our ladies were not able to attend for one reason or another, but the ladies that came had a wonderful time together. We played a few games and a “quick word” devotion from Sis. LaBrie about the necessity of touching Jesus. No matter how big the crowd or how others seem to be closer to Him than you, all you have to do is reach out and touch Him. When you do, your life will never be the same. God bless the ladies of Gospel Tabernacle!
Excitement is Building!
We are excited by the progress at 7880 Washington Blvd. This week, the steeple was placed on top of the building! The sheetrock has been taped, floated and is ready for paint! We are anxiously awaiting the remaining work to be complete! Thanks for the prayers and generous contributions to our building fund! We are doing our best and God is definitely doing the rest!
